Order receipts
After payment is processed, a receipt is emailed to the email address associated with the customer’s APIC account. The subject line of the email reads “Order Confirmation.” If you do not receive a receipt for your order, please email products@apic.org or call (240) 646-7032.

Shipping 

Shipment tracking
Once your order is fulfilled, you will receive an email containing a UPS tracking number (from apic@brightkey.net); click on the tracking number link in the email to track your package. If you have questions about your shipment status, please call (240) 646-7032 or email products@apic.org.

Digital product shipping
Upon successful payment processing, digital format products (generally PDFs) are delivered to the email address associated with the customer’s APIC account. The subject line of the email reads “Access Instructions.” If you do not receive this email, please call (240) 646-7032 or email products@apic.org.

Shipping rates: United States and Canada addresses
APIC uses UPS Ground for standard shipping (7-10 business days) on U.S. and Canada orders. 

For any other mode of shipment in the U.S. and Canada, contact the APIC Distribution center at products@apic.org or (240) 646-7032.


Shipping rates: International addresses
To place an order to an international address, please contact APIC at products@apic.org or (240) 646-7032. PLEASE NOTE: At this time, international customers are only able to purchase digital items (PDF books) through the APIC Online Store; print books must be purchased by contacting Customer Service. To purchase print books, please email products@apic.org or call (240) 646-7032.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Orders that are shipped to countries outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by the destination country (including Canada).

The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties, and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; APIC has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Contact your customs office for more information.

Abandoned orders will not be refunded.

Rush shipping
If you need expedited shipping, please contact the APIC Distribution Center for a quote at (240) 646-7032 or products@apic.org. Expedited orders may incur a $20 rush fee in addition to rush shipping costs. 

Damaged shipments
Please report damaged shipments within 10 business days of receipt. Damaged items will be reshipped at no cost.

To report a damaged shipment, please call the APIC Distribution Center at (240) 646-7032 or email us at products@apic.org (Subject Line: Damaged shipment). Please reference your order number if possible.

Digital Products

Digital product format
All APIC digital format books are PDF files. To read an APIC digital format book, you will need to have Adobe Reader installed on your device. If you do not have this program, you can download it for free on the Adobe website at http://get.adobe.com/reader/.

Digital products return policy
Please note that digital products (including PDF-format books, APIC Text Online subscriptions, MegaSurvey reports and the MegaSurvey Dashboard) are not eligible for return or exchange.

Delivery via email
After purchasing a digital product, please check your email! After payment is processed, the APIC Distribution Center will email instructions for downloading your digital products to the email address associated with your APIC account. The subject line of the email is "Access Instructions."

Return Policy

Submitting a return
Print books: 
Customers who are not satisfied with their purchase of a print book may submit it return within 30 days of the invoice date.

Digital products: Please note that digital products (including PDF-format books, APIC Text Online subscriptions, MegaSurvey reports and the MegaSurvey Dashboard) are not eligible for return or exchange.

•             Returned items must be received in resalable condition in order to be refunded. We recommend returning products in the packaging in which they were received, if possible.

•             APIC will process your refund after the returned item is received.

•             APIC reserves the right to deny return requests on products that are damaged in return shipment.

•             APIC reserves the right to not accept returns for special sales situations.

Bulk ordering terms and conditions
•             Final price: APIC reserves the right to review all bulk orders. APIC will compute shipping fees for you since APIC now ships by weight. The APIC Distribution Center will notify you of the final cost.

•             Single-item only: Bulk order discount only applies to purchases of multiple copies of a single item (e.g., 20 copies of Ready Reference for Microbes).

•             Member pricing: Bulk order discounts may be applied to APIC member price if the purchaser is an APIC member (member number must be indicated on the order form).

•             Not combinable: Bulk order discounts may not be combined with other product specials, promotions, sale items, or other discounts.

•             Gift certificates accepted: Gift certificates may be applied to bulk orders.

•             Quotes: The customer may request a quote prior to ordering by contacting products@apic.org.  Please enter “Bulk order quote request” in the subject line.

•             Digital products: Bulk orders of digital products are available. Please contact products@apic.org to place a bulk order for digital products.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my order has shipped?
Print books: Once your order is fulfilled, you will receive an email containing a UPS tracking number (from apic@brightkey.net); click on the tracking number link in the email to track your package. Do I need to be an APIC member to purchase a product?
No. But you will need to create an account with us to place your order. At the beginning of the checkout process, you will be directed to create your account.


What methods of payment does APIC accept?
APIC accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and checks. Sorry, we do not accept Discover cards.


How do I order if I am paying with a check?
Please fill out the order form and follow the instructions for paying by check. Questions? Email products@apic.org


Does APIC accept purchase orders?
No. Please contact us at products@apic.org if your institution requires you to use a purchase order. We will work with you to help you get the APIC tools and resources you need.


Is my online transaction secure?
Yes, payments are processed through Paypal, an established online payment processing vendor. APIC is a PCI compliant organization.


I have a coupon or gift certificate for APIC resources. How do I redeem it?
Coupons: Visit our Online Store and add the books you would like to purchase to your cart. Click "Proceed to Checkout," then enter the code from your coupon in the "Promotional Code" field. Click "Apply. Your order total will be updated to reflect the discount. If you have any issues, please contact products@apic.org.

Gift certificates: 
Unfortunately, gift certificates cannot be used in the Online Store. Please call (240) 646-7032 or email products@apic.org to redeem your gift certificate.


I have a coupon or gift certificate for APIC resources. What can I order?
Note that all gift certificates and coupons are one-time use only and are void if duplicated. Gift certificates and coupons may not be applied to travel or shipping costs, and may not be used to purchase APIC logo merchandise (unless explicitly stated on the gift certificate or coupon). Other terms and conditions apply; please check the language on your gift certificate or coupon before placing your order.


How do I rush ship my order?

Does APIC ship to P.O. boxes and APO addresses?
A physical address is required for all orders. UPS does not ship to P.O. boxes or APO addresses. Please contact our distribution center at (240) 646-7032 or products@apic.org if you must ship to a P.O. Box or APO.


When should I expect to receive my order?
For print books, please allow 7-14 business days for delivery. Once your order is fulfilled, you will receive an email containing a UPS tracking number (from apic@brightkey.net); click on the tracking number link in the email to track your package.

For digital books (PDFs), you should receive an email containing a download link for your product immediately after submitting your payment.

My order arrived damaged. What now?

Can I return a product?
